On Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 1:45-2:45, Julene McAlister, President of Meridian Healthcare Consulting and managing partner at Prescoott Planning company will discuss "Rural Health Clinics...the nuts and bolts". The session will focus on an introduction to what an RHC is, the Medicare Conditions of Participation, the Survey Requirements, Operational Implementation steps, Reimbursement Considerations, Ongoing Operational Effectiveness Stategies, etc.
Julene McAlister, who is a registered nurse, has had extensive experience in providing consulting services for many health care strategic planning, management and positioning projects for inpatient facilities and outpatient programs. While serving in a national capacity, she has conducted numerous seminars and training sessions on medical necessity requirements, Medicare certification requirements, and has authored and co-authored published articles which address the reimbursement and clinical implications in development and management of acute and subacute, inpatient and outpatient programs including a variety of other services for many providers. Ms. McAlister has particular expertise in Medicare reimbursement, strategic program positioning, medical necessity for inpatient and outpatient programs and requirements for Medicare certification and licensure. Over the last twenty years, Ms. McAlister has directed the successful implementation and Medicare certifications for more than 70 new programs in 28 states, including 36 RHCs.
