Sue Hansen to discuss Culture Change

Getting into the Groove: positioning an organization for positive change

Transforming the culture of an organization is akin to herding cats. It’s hard enough to succeed at changing anything in an organization, much less trying to change the entire “spirit” of the place! Culture is so palpable in an organization that a new applicant can see it soon after being hired and sometimes on the very same day! Culture reflects the shared attitudes, the values, goals and practices of a group of people. Culture reflects the customary beliefs, social contracts, rules of behaving, how we speak, how we interact. Culture is a mirror-if you want to see the culture of your organization, one just needs to look in the mirror. Discover how to position your organization for change, lead the change and most importantly have a sense of humor during the change!

Thursday April 4th
12:30-1:30 - General Session

Sue consults with the profit and nonprofit sectors; shaping and training boards, teaching principles that build better teams and develop influential leaders. Sue’s areas of special interest and expertise include communication, conflict and confrontation, team dynamics and leadership development. She guides leaders through the strategic planning process to reinforce the importance of the plan, the vision and implementation.
